Silly Cat on Shelf

Do you see this cat behind the candle stick? This is Molly, our youngest cat. doesn't she look nice and peaceful?
Amber discovered her here and called me to come in and look. I just laughed and laughed.
Here she is looking at me as if to say "What are you looking at?"
Here is a long shot to show you just what she was laying on! These are the shelves in our den! My dad kept saying he didn't know how she got up there without knocking something off. Amber kept saying she has gotten up there lots of times.
Notice the plates on the wall above the shelves. Those belonged to my Mama. They go all the way around the top of the den walls and the kitchen walls. For as long as I can remember my Mama collected plates from different states and countries. She never was able to get a plate from all 50 states. Some of the places she visited but most plates were given to her by family and friends who had visited different places and a few different countries. Quiet awhile before she died she asked me if I was gonna get rid of her plate collection when she died. I told her I would never get rid of her plates. Maybe a few of her candle holders but not her plates. See just a few years before she died she started collecting candle holders. She got most of them from yard sales. She had candle holders on just about every inch of space in her house! And I did get rid of a lot of them. But I kept a few special ones. I do love her plates though.

Cute picture, does she knock anything off? I'm in constant battle with my two kitties breaking all my treasures that are up high!! I'm hoping this is their "toddler" stage. lol!!!

What a cute little kitty- aren't they mischievous? And your plate collection is a lovely heirloom- will you pass it down to one of your children?

Aren't cats great, they can always look so endearing. We had a cat once who loved to sit under the table lamp when it was on, with her head stuck right up inside the shade! I'm sure she fried her brains, she was pretty daft. I have a collection of plates too - I inherited loads of part tea and dinner services from various members of the family, and decided to keep one plate, one cup and saucer from each and got rid of the rest. They're great 'memory joggers'.
