Today is my beautiful Mama's birthday. She would have been 76 years old today. God took her home to be with him and my two brothers three and a half years ago and I still miss her so very much.
This is a picture of her when she was young holding a young cousin of hers.
This is my Mama and me in about 1967 with a new puppy I had gotten.
Here is my beautiful Mama in 1983. I just love this picture.
This is my children's favorite picture. My mama with a BB gun and her hair in rollers! She had came over to my house for me to roll her hair for her. I always rolled her hair for her. Once she actually let me cut her hair! Boy was she brave! When I got through her hair was only about 2 inches long all over her head! I laugh every time I think about it! I was probably 23 or so at the time. There is no way I would let one of my kids cut my hair. My Mama was something else!
Here she is on her birthday, with my kids, a year before she died. I wanted to post the birthday pictures taken the year she died but they weren't on my computer and I did not have time to find them and scan them in this morning.
My Mama was a wonderful person. She had problems over the years with prescription drug abuse, but then I can understand that in a way. She had lost two sons and that took it's toll on her. But no one ever has or ever will love me the way my Mama loved me. She was a very kind and sweet person and people still tell me this today and how much they miss her. Even though I miss her terribly I am glad she is at home with God and her sons that she grieved for for so many years. I love you Mama!

Hi Dianne
I found your blog through my friend Tozz's blog.
I too am a Christian and love to meet crafty sisters.
Loved the tribute to your beautiful mama.
Losing your Mother has got to be one of the hardest things to go through in this life. I haven't yet gone through it, and I dread the thought.
I am happy that you have found peace about it though.
ps. Your daughter looks gorgeous!
I love how her personality shines through the pictures. It sounds like you have many wonderful memories to treasure.
